FASHION IS A FEELING

Violet Somers is an American-born fashion designer currently attending fashion design courses at Polimoda in Florence, Italy. Her interest in fashion has been persistent since her high school years, where she completed several of her first garments. At university she continues to strengthen her skills and aspires toward her own label. She has already made several couture garments, most notably her award-winning design, “Blood Bath,” that named her YDA’s 2017 Young Designer of the Year. 

While her passion lies in fashion design, Violet attended art school in Los Angeles before attending university in Florence. She began her first business at sixteen hand painting shoes; her first pair featured in Town and Country on Caroline Bell. Her fine arts background includes skills in painting, drawing, acting, photography, and mixed media collage.
