DENIM DREAMS

I bought this oversized denim jacket at the Fairfax Flea Market about a month ago. It is a garment I've been wanting for a while, so I was very excited to finally get one that was perfectly oversized: just above the knees so I have the option to wear it without pants, as a dress. Anyway, the jacket was cool and awesome - don't get me wrong, but I'm in the process of making it cooler. I'm fucking it up a little to make it more interesting. You know when you hear an amazing song for the first time, or maybe second or third, and it's so good that it "fucks you up" and when you recommend it to a friend you say, "This song fucked me up"? Well, that's essentially what I'm doing to this jacket. I'm really excited about it and posted some pics to show you my personal touches.

Embroidering the front of the jacket. This "Fake Gucci" is a satirical play on the "Real Gucci" bags I've seen all over street style blogs.

Peep hole shoulder cut-outs.

I fractured my foot and here is my boot but it kind of looks awesome.

Belted it to look like Vetements Spring/Summer2017.

(I'm looking over at the man, jealous cuz he looks good and is wearing Vetements.)

I'm not sure if this pic has to do with the jacket or just that I was wearing it when I took the pic.

My friends glasses were cool so I tried them on. They kind of work well with the whole futuristic theme trending right now. Date back to Woody Allen's Sleeper... same vibe. The glasses are kind of sixties. It's funny to me how the future is the future and the sixties are the sixties, but there's something so similar about them both.

This is the makeup I wore the first day I wore the jacket. I love it because the silver palette of the glitter complemented the white frayed edges of the denim and the orang-y tone to my lips literally complements denim blue on a color wheel. The silver and denim are alike in texture and color. The orange and denim are not alike.
